Adjust your shades without reaching around furniture or up to high windows.
Some windows are easy to reach until you put a sofa in front of them. Others are high enough that adjusting the shade is a nuisance every time the light changes. Motorized window coverings let you raise or lower the shades without getting to the window itself.
Southern Shutters and Blinds installs motorized window coverings for homes and businesses in Athens, Georgia. We’ll come look at your windows, measure them, and ask which coverings you find yourself adjusting during the day. You may want motorization for a single hard-to-reach window or for several shades in rooms you use often.
You may be picturing a button on the wall, or you may want to use your phone. Tell us how you’d prefer to adjust your shades. If you use a smart home system, we can discuss whether it would work with the motorized option you’re considering. We’ll look at the fabric too: how it looks in the room, how much light comes through it, and how much privacy it gives you when it’s lowered.
Each job starts with the windows and the person using them. We custom order the shades, install them, and check that they operate as they should. Ben, our owner, has worked with window treatments since 1975, from manufacturing through to installation. He knows that a shade needs to fit properly as well as move when you press the control.
